WE WILL BE SHOWING SUPPORT FOR YOUR ANCHORAGE SPECIAL OLYMPICS BY PROVIDING FREE TICKETS FOR SPECIAL OLYMPIANS BY PRESENTING THE FUN FAMILY EVENT AT THEIR FACILITY!
ALSO BENEFITING WILL BE THE ANCHORAGE COPS FOR COMMUNITY AND IN THE PAST INCLUDING FIRE FIGHTERS HOLIDAY PROGRAMS BRIGHTENING UP THE HOLIDAYS FOR LOCAL YOUTH AND NEEDY FAMILIES!
AS ALWAYS, WE WILL BE RAISING FUNDS FOR TRAINING EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR THE ANCHORAGE FIRE EXPLORERS POST #264 STUDENT PROGRAMS AS WELL AS DONATING GIFTS AND TOYS TO THE ANCHORAGE COPS FOR COMMUNITY SHOP WITH A COP/PROJECT ANGEL TREE AND IN THE PAST INCLUDING FIRE FIGHTERS HOLIDAY PROGRAMS WITH GIFTS AND TOYS FOR LOCAL YOUTH & NEEDY FAMILIES TO BRIGHTEN UP THEIR HOLIDAY SEASON!
The Anchorage Fire Explorers recruit and train local Anchorage Students to become future Anchorage Fire Fighters and First Responders giving them a head start on an important career and most importantly eliminates the need to look outside of Alaska to find qualified Fire Fighters!
Anchorage Fire Fighters show and train the Explorers what it is to be a Fire Fighter and at the same time teach them to embrace ownership, responsibility, and leadership in their lives.
During the Student’s time as a Fire Explorer, they are strongly encouraged to pursue higher education and achieve all their goals after graduating from high school.
We are proud to say many Explorers have gone on to become Anchorage Fire Fighters!
The number of Fire Explorers is growing annually all wanting to participate and become local Anchorage Firefighters requiring additional funding in order to continue and expand the program.
We hope we can please count on your support!
